Dr. Kuester joined the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Faculty in 2022 after serving as a Research Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech for the previous six years. He earned his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2014. Dr. Kuester has research interests in the fields of renewable energy, aerodynamics, boundary layer stability/transition, and engineering education. His current research focuses on the effect of small-amplitude surface roughness on the growth of disturbance waves in low-speed boundary layers, with applications in wind energy and aeronautics. In addition to his work at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, Dr. Kuester enjoys spending time with his wife and son, visiting family, jogging, solving math puzzles, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Kuester is a member of Light of Christ Anglican Church in Georgetown, TX.
