Music Education
If you are passionate about sharing your love of music with students, whether they are in pre-school or in college, you may want to major in music education. This degree program combines music foundation courses with professional development courses in education so you are ready to teach in a classroom or a private studio. Students may choose to focus on choral music, with courses such as Vocal Diction and Choral Literature, or instrumental music, with courses in Brass, Strings, Percussion, and Woodwind.

When I came to Â鶹ÊÓƵ, I expected to go to school, do work, and get a degree. I didn't realize the opportunities and experiences I would be given in school and throughout the community, as well as the relationships I would build with peers and my professors. My professors became my mentors, supporters, and friends. I know them, they know me, and we can sit and discuss what will allow me to develop my skills for my career.
