Major in Education with Certification in 4-8 Core Subjects
A degree in education core subjects for grades 4 through 8 prepares you to teach subjects taught in elementary and middle school — primarily math, science, English, and social studies. Education majors who want to teach in grades 4 through 8 do not have to major in the subject they wish to teach, because it is not unusual for teachers at this level to teach several subjects. The curriculum for this degree, therefore, includes courses in all of the four major subjects, to provide a broad overview rather than an in-depth study of each subject.

The professors guiding us along the way all have great experience in our field. They all have a passion for what they do and it shows! Our teacher eduaction program prepares us by giving us opportunities to be out in the classroom practicing what we are learning in our classes.
